The Cry Baby

The Cry Baby’s music is largely shaped from singer Anna Waldmann’s background of having to undertake adult responsibilities since she was a child. This has resulted in an intriguing combination of the maturity of somebody who grew up too early and the childishness of somebody who wants their childhood back.

“We’ll also have The Crybaby down performing their mix of folk/electronic ambience. Essentially what a Bjork/Portishead collaboration would sound like but a hell of a lot better. It’s tricky to describe their sound, have a listen for yourselves and get very excited because their live shows are absolutely fantastic. ” Josh Stone/ The Soft Machine
